Badger is a small rural village on the eastern edge of Shropshire around 5 miles north-east of the market town of Bridgnorth.

Designated a Conservation Area in 1981the village lies at the junction of three narrow lanes linking it to the neighbouring village of Beckbury and the hamlet of Stableford.

The Conservation Area includes the whole of the village, together with a series of pools, the walled former kitchen garden and estate yard, some of the parkland and most of the wooded valley known as Badger Dingle, all originally associated with Badger Hall.
