There has been a church at Badger since the 12th century and it is just possible that part of the present tower dates from then. The first Rector was Roger, Clerk of Baggesor (as it was then known).
Much of the present church was built in 1834 using local sandstone but incorporating materials from a former building. The furnishings date from 1886.
The 15th century screen originally separated nave from the tiny chapel which was built by the Capel Cure family, once owners of the estate.
To the left of the church door as you enter is a new window installed in memory of Dr. Margaret Dix and her father, the Rev Archibald Dix, who was Rector at Badger for almost half a century. The window design reflects Margaret Dix's skills as a world-renowned inner ear surgeon. A description of the window can be found just inside the door.
